Virtual Event Addresses Florida’s Showdown Over Felon Voting Rights

Âé¶ą´«Ă˝Ół»­â€™s Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters presents the free virtual event “Pay-to-Vote or Protecting Democracy? Florida’s Showdown Over Felon Voting Rights” on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 1 p.m.

The panel discussion will include Nancy Abudu, deputy legal director of voting rights, Southern Poverty Law Center; Daniel Rivero, reporter and producer covering Latino and criminal justice issues for WLRN radio; Rep. Randy Fine, Florida House of Representatives, Palm Bay; and Neil Volz, deputy director of Florida Rights Restoration Coalition.
