Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ to Offer Criminal Justice Summer Camp

Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­â€™s School of Criminology and Criminal Justice within the College for Design and Social Inquiry will host a first of its kind criminal justice summer camp for high school Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­.

Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­â€™s School of Criminology and Criminal Justice within the College for Design and Social Inquiry will host a first of its kind criminal justice summer camp for high school Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­. The camp will take place from Sunday, July 10 through Thursday, July 14, and Sunday, July 17 through Thursday, July 21, at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­â€™s Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road.

Students will observe first hand and participate in mock crime scenes and mock criminal trials. In addition, Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ will be able to see demonstrations of bomb squads, K-9 units and SWAT teams. The camp also will include visits to police marine units, 911 call centers, the local FBI offices, and Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­â€™s stadium security center.

This camp is being held in partnership with the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ and Boca Raton police departments, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI Miami office.

Enrollment is limited to 14 Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ per session on a first come, first serve basis. The application deadline is Monday, June 27.
